LifeStones![]() Life Change Stories from Parents:
"We have started saying a blessing over our children before they go to bed each night. It was of course 'against the norm' for Zachary [age 5] at first, but after a few nights, he welcomed it and even had to 'correct' his dad for not putting his hand directly on the tip-top of his head! Madison [almost 2] accepts it because if it is something her 'Bubba' is doing, then she wants to do it also! Most recently, they have now started putting their hands on my head to bless me too!"
~ Chris and Tracy Welch
"After attending a Parent Summit, we began blessing our 8 month old son, Davis, each morning and night. We pray over him and for him daily, and one day will pray with him as he grows into a Godly young man. We have created specific blessings for Davis as a prayer for his life."
~ Josh and Renee Dickerson
"I've started blessing my kids before school and at bedtime. My goal is to have a written blessing for Jess before she starts high school in the fall. I went to Bill and Tammy's breakout with the Dave Ramsey program. We have changed the way we record our chores and pay out. We have since opened a checking and savings account for Jess as well as a savings account for John. Jess wrote her first check last Friday and balanced her checkbook! All three of our kids took at least 10% of their pay for tithe on Give 10 Sunday. Jess wanted to give more!"

How is LifeStones enriching the lives of Heritage parents? This is what parents are saying:
I really enjoyed hearing...
about the LifeStones steps and how to get started.
about money managing for kids.
about blessing our children.
about LifeStones 1 and how babies-2s learn.
I was not alone!
LifeStones encourages me by...
helping me know the real needs of my kids so that I don't miss it.
giving me great resources and tools to know how to begin my son's spiritual walk.
being an excellent partner as we take this journey with our children to walk a path of faith.
As a result of the Parent Summit, I am going to...
start a prayer time and daily devotion with my family.
start a new financial plan with the kids.
make sure that we play with our baby more.
be more intentional about teaching my kids at home.
be a better spiritual leader.
begin God talks with my baby.
At Heritage, we partner with parents to guide their child toward a life changing relationship with Christ through LifeStones. LifeStones is a lifelong, intentional process of spiritual development marked by milestones of measurable spiritual growth. Through out the year we host parent seminars and a parent summit to equip parents in accomplishing three target actions (click here for a list of terms to know):
Church and home can accomplish more together than either of us could do alone. LifeStones provides a common path for parents and teachers to help preschooler, children and students grow spiritually. |
